About The Role: Ecogy is looking for an outgoing and passionate candidate who is motivated to get more clean energy onto our grid. A Clean Energy Associate is responsible for generating new interest in renewable energy solutions through cold calls and emails, as well as maintaining engagement with our current commercial and community customer base in their respective territories.

About Ecogy Energy: Ecogy was founded as a developer, financier, and owner-operator of distributed generation resources in 2010 with our first project for Longwood Gardens, the nation's largest botanical garden. Since then, we have found our niche specializing in financing distributed generation assets for traditionally underserved entities including affordable housing, non-profits, and municipalities. Our current portfolio spans 9 states, D.C., and the Caribbean and consist of mainly large rooftop and solar canopy projects.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Identify commercial, industrial, non-profit, and municipal properties for solar development potential in multiple regions

    • Speak with property decision-makers and educate them on Ecogy’s products and services that best fit their circumstances

    • Meet or exceed target quota of 75 calls / 75 emails per week

    • Draft and assist in the presentation of client-facing proposals consisting of the solar system design, financial offering, and relevant market details

    • Work directly with a regional Development Manager to prioritize new deals

    • Research property records, municipal databases, and other publicly available information for property details

    • Capture and manage sales data in Salesforce CRM

  • Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of experience in a similar outreach/education/customer service role

    • Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish a rapport with potential customers

    • Willingness to take on the challenge of making cold-calls

    • Energetic and self-motivated

    • Able to multi-task and shift priorities as needed and work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team

  • Nice to haves:

    • Understand the benefits of solar, EV charging, battery storage, and energy monitoring

    • Experience in renewable energy sales

    • Experience using Salesforce CRM

    • Familiar with GIS data

    • Powerpoint and Excel experience

    • Passionate about the environment
